Rozanne Bell

“Ever since I first picked up a paintbrush with my mother as a little girl, the compulsion to paint has dominated my life.”

Rozanne Bell was born in Zimbabwe in 1962 where she lived for 40 years. She exhibited her work all over southern Africa and, through tourism, an American market for her work evolved. As her style has evolved she has developed a strong international following....
Rozanne developed her artistic career, painting the colourful flora and fauna of Africa and adding her own humorous perspective. Starting with exhibitions of animals and flowers at the age of sixteen she has expanded her repertoire over the years to include landscapes and country scenes, harbours, twilight and moonlight scenes and even space and galaxy paintings.
In 2002, the political climate in Zimbabwe necessitated Rozanne’s move to England. The ability to adapt to a new environment, coupled with her optimistic determination to succeed has created strong demand for her work here in the UK.
Since her move to England in 2002, her subject matter and style has become more extensive. She has a great love for the countryside around Dorset, where she now lives. The coves and harbours of Cornwall also have a great influence in her work.
Rozanne's flair and dedication has resulted in her becoming one of Britain's leading artists. Each picture she paints is an original with no one painting being the same as another. Her paintings are a delight of colour, texture and charming scenes, created through layers of paint and resin.
